meditation and mindfulness classes

More and more people are discovering the benefits of learning to meditate and rest the mind.  These classes are suitable for complete newcomers to meditation.  We will explore different approaches and techniques for settling the mind and improving calm, focus and self-exploration.
 
This is a non-religious form of meditation, focused on training the mind.  You do not need to follow or agree with any particular belief system.  People from all faith backgrounds and none are equally welcome.  
 
Chairs, yoga mats and cushions will all be available for your comfort.  You do not need to be able to sit cross-legged or sit on the floor.  You will be encouraged to find whatever positions are most comfortable to enable you to relax and calm your mind.
 
We will not be meditating in silence for very long periods.  There will be opportunities for short and medium length guided and self-guided meditations and mindfulness practices.  We will also take some time to discuss our experiences and support one another.
 
Suggestions will be offered for home practice to help you integrate this life-enhancing practice into your daily life.
 
These classes are offered as a four week course on Friday mornings in Stock beginning on 15th March.  There will also be some meditation classes on Monday evenings in Stock from April onwards.
